An Important Cause:
Dolben is a long-time participant in the Pan Mass Challenge, a two-day 192 mile bike marathon that raises money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund. Over the last 16 years "Team Dolben" has peddled its way to raising nearly $750,000 for this worthy cause. We're most proud that 99 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to the research seeking a cure for a disease that touches so many.
Giving Back:
In addition, Dolben employees participate annually in the "Toys for Tots" program - in 2007 alone, we donated 488 toys to needy children. In keeping with our real estate roots, we have participated in the Habitat for Humanity program building affordable housing for those who need it most.
Community Support:
Dolben manages a 489 unit, 100% subsidized community in one of the most economically depressed cities in Massachusetts. Managing this type of community can be daunting and outside influences only increase the challenge. To help build a sense of community and give the children an alternative to the streets, Dolben has established after school sports programs. We assemble basketball and baseball teams in several age groups, supply equipment and uniforms and coach the teams in leagues around the city. Our teams consistently vie for the top spots in their leagues - we believe the children are proud to represent their Dolben community.
