The Dolben Company Announces Several Promotions Across Asset Management, Development and Property Management Departments

WOBURN, MASSACHUSETTS, March 19, 2024 – The Dolben Company announces the promotions of several individuals across Asset Management, Development, and Property Management Departments as it looks to build for the future.

The following individuals received promotions: 

Matt Dolben – Vice President, Asset Management 

Matt was a member of the 2016 Management Trainee Program. After completion of the program, he served as an Assistant Property Manager and Property Manager before joining the Corporate Team in 2019 as a Property Analyst. He was promoted to Asset Manager in 2021 and Senior Asset Manager in 2023.  

In Matt’s capacity as Senior Asset Manager, he acted as the owner’s representative overseeing the performance of the Dolben sponsored properties, performing regular physical inspections and financial analysis on each property. He has also worked alongside the Property Management Team to recommend capital improvements and management plans for the properties. In addition, he has prepared communications with external Dolben investors and was responsible for reporting on the corporate investment companies.  

In his new role, Matt will oversee the Asset Management Team and direct financial, business and management strategies consistent with Dolben’s investment objectives. In addition, he will assist ownership in modeling potential acquisitions and development opportunities, as well as continue reporting on the corporate entities and investment companies.  

Joe Dolben – Vice President, Development 

Joe joined the Development Department in 2015 as a Quality Assurance Manager and then was promoted to Project Coordinator in 2017. Since 2017, Joe has assisted in the development of over 1,000 new apartment homes.  

In November 2021, Joe was promoted to Development Coordinator supporting the development team and working on site feasibility, permitting, preconstruction, due diligence and participating in the development of site and building designs, integrating property management operations into the project design. He has also been integral in planning many new development projects including Caro Tuscan Village, Aster on the Summit, and several new pipeline projects.  

In his new role, Joe will continue to work on site feasibility, permitting, preconstruction, and ongoing development management of Dolben’s new construction and rehabilitation projects. He will interface with property management on major capital projects and planning, supporting Asset Management’s capital plans for long-term enhancement of Dolben’s properties. He will support the department in design development, cost efficiency and incorporation of emerging technologies and materials.  

Keith Corriveau – Vice President, Property Management 

Active in multifamily since 1997, Keith joined Dolben in 2004 and has played an integral role in many aspects of our organization. As a Regional Director he previously managed our Mid-Atlantic portfolio, and currently manages a diverse portfolio of existing communities. He has been involved in extensive due diligence exercises for new acquisitions, has assisted in pre-development planning work and has successfully managed many lease-ups. Keith is responsible for strategic initiatives that have helped increase our efficiencies through new products and operational procedures.  

In his new role, Keith will manage several Regional Property Managers directly and will be responsible for maximizing property performance.  

Keith is active on many NAA committees and was the 2020 President of the Massachusetts Apartment Association. He holds the CAPS designation from the NAA.  

Brian Shapiro – Vice President, Property Management 

Brian began his career with Dolben in December 2005 as the company’s first Management Trainee. After serving as both an Assistant Property Manager and then Property Manager, he was promoted to Regional Property Manager in 2013. In this role, his responsibilities have included day-to-day operational oversight, annual budget preparation, capital project management, marketing plan preparation, and focus on specific ownership goals for a revolving portfolio of properties. He is a regular internal trainer as part of Dolben’s annual Manager in Training program and Dolben University. He has also been a trainer for NAA’s CALP certification course.  

In his new role, Brian will manage several Regional Property Managers directly and will be responsible for maximizing property performance.  

Brian holds several industry certifications, including CALP, CAM, CAPS, and C3P Tax Credit. In 2024, Brian joined the Massachusetts Apartment Association Board of Directors.
